Description

In Japanese, "kusudama" literally means "medicine ball." It is an ancient art that started out with actual flowers for healing purposes. The practice then began to use paper to create beautifully complex ornaments used for decoration or given as seasonal gifts.

The Kusudama Dafina, designed by Andreai Dimitriu, is a hollow ball made of 12 rosette modules folded from 15 cm (6 in) square paper. It measures approximately 13 centimeters (5 inches) in diameter and hangs from a 40cm-long ribbon in a 20cm diameter loop.

It is made with high quality TANT paper imported from Japan, ensuring that it will last for years to come without fading. While the traditional design doesn't need glue, it has been assembled with glue to make sure the ball doesn't fall apart without rough handling. It has been scented with a fresh rose scent.
